He’d been up at dawn, Chuchi, complaining all the while as he dragged her out to Mt. Chimney for a hike. The day was perfect. The constant volcanic ash that fell from the volcano was a little less today, and there was just enough of a breeze to cool them both down as they hiked and fought up to the top. Halfway up, Chuchi’s fat body was already bounding past Andres, eager for the next fight. He really should get into more tournaments for her, but they kind of bored him. And he was still considering his options with contest performances. Until he got it right though, the obese Eevee would just have to be content with these little leveling excursions. [break][break]

The trip up and down the mountain had taken most of the day. By the time Andres rolled up to the hot springs, sweaty, dirty, sore and even a little bruised, he was ready for a shower. Chuchi could barely move being relegated back to his pokeball until it was time to shower in the locker rooms provided. He scrubbed off hours of grime and ash, massaging his muscles as he went before he and the Eevee made their way to the hot springs. “It’s like that spa we went to, right Chuchi?” he mumbled, as he stepped out into the open-air hot springs. There’s not that many people there, but from the looks of at least one of them this was most definitely not one of those naked spas. [break][break]

Standing in the buff, Andres blanks on what to do. Any other person would’ve 180’d and put on swim trunks. Before he can, Chuchi barrels past him throwing herself into the hot spring and splashing the rest. An action that forced Andres into the spring as well, if only to corral his overexcitable pokemon. “Ay! Chuchi! You can’t just run the ground is wet!” He scolded lifting the Eevee up. “Uh- I’m really sorry about that…” he offered as he dropped the Eevee back down who dunked under the water before serenely floating back up and doggy paddling away.

[attr="class","artie"] there were many things that galar had that hoenn lacked, but fortunately hot springs were not one of those things. at the very least, circhester did not have many of them. the icy cold foothills in which he'd grown up had been full of many things, but they had not been as affluent in saunas.

[break][break] of course, that wasn't to say that artie had never been in one — quite the opposite, actually. yet, that had always been in the comfort of indoors or replicated areas, and nothing at all like the natural setting that he found himself now.

[break][break] annoyance flashes across his face almost immediately - who dare disturb him - when he realizes that the perpetrator of an event was another boy.

He’s still embarrassed even if it’s only one other person. Especially when he noted Chuchi had definitely gotten her splash zone within his radius. Though she seemed unbothered and didn’t even offer an apology as she rolled onto her back like a Buizel and wagged her tail to gently propel herself through the water. “Uhhh- Of course!” the words are automatic as he settled in his section of the bath, using the small towel he’s grabbed to cover his crotch. [Break][break]

The water is hot, but it only burned upon settling in. His body eventually readjusted to the raised temperature and began to relax. He’d massage his legs while he was here. But first, his poor bath mate his pokemon had harassed. He’d agreed so easily, but he wasn’t exactly sure he was going to make anything up. So, he decided to apologize once more. “Sorry about…her. Sometimes Chuchi gets excited, guerito.” He clocked the fellow blonde as a little bit younger than him but not by a lot. Probably. Couldn’t trust the baby face. But he didn’t sound that much off from him. “Oh! I can grab you an extra towel-” he stated turning his back to Artie and flashing him a full moon as he stood up to see if there were any hanging by the entrance of the lockers. “Oh- Weird...I’ll have to get that for you later then.” He said, as he was most definitely not walking out right after jumping in. He already felt a slight chill from getting out of the water so quickly and slid back into the bath, flashing Artie despite his best attempts not to just minutes ago.

Andres doesn’t quite get the vibe just yet. Any flirt worth their salt would have something clever to say to that. Andres, instead nodded excitedly, like a golden retriever ready to go out for walkies. “Yeah- actually. I’ve never been to a real hot spring before…” he began. “Though, I’ve been to this big bath when I was still on the road. It’s sort of close to this.” He added. Andres didn’t stand up again, this time acutely aware of how naked he was but accepted the invitation and moved over closer to the blonde. At least this way he wouldn’t be shouting at him. Or, flashing him. [Break][break]

Staying still in the water allowed the heat to better soak into his muscles and bones and began to fully warm him up. “The bath I went to…I think- this is far more intimate.” He said, finally looking over at Artie and offering him a little smirk. He’d get one in one way or another. Now that he was more up close and personal, he could get a better look at his bathing companion. Fair skin, pretty eyes, not terrible scrawny though most people might give off that impression when he was…you know…him. “I’m Andres…and you know, Chuchi.” He said with a grin nodding over at his Eevee who wagged her tail as she floated by, for the most part ignoring her human. “So, ojitos, are you visiting, or a local?” he asked as he cupped water in his hands and ran it over his hair. The gel in it barely holding on and locked of his undercut were beginning to fall out of place.
